Parking is always a challenge in any downtown environment, and San Diego is no different.  Try any of the following parking locations to make it as easy as possible to park for the event.

Reserved Parking

If you were able, we do have limited parking available specifically for the event located at Ruocco Park.

The address for the park and parking is:

585 Harbor Lane
San Diego, CA 92101

Reserved Parking Permit

When you arrive for the event, please proceed to the parking attendant and tell them your name.  They will verify you purchased a parking spot and issue your permit to place on your dash.  Once you have parked you can proceed to registration to pick up your other materials.

USS Midway Museum Parking

Public Parking is available at the USS Midway and is a short 5 minute walk down to Ruocco Park where our event is located.  The USS Midway Museum is located alongside the Navy Pier at:

910 North Harbor Drive
San Diego, California, 92101

Pricing varies between $10-$20, subject to change depending on holidays and local events. See USS Midway Museum for more detailed and up to date information.

Valet Parking

Valet parking is available for Seaport Village located just north of the metered parking for Seaport Village (see image below).  Access is off Kettner Blvd or Pacific Highway. Pricing is $15 up to 5 hours, $30 up to 10 hours, and $40 max over 10 hours. See Seaport Village Parking for more detailed and up to date information.

Seaport Village Parking

Metered parking is available at Seaport Village and is a close 5 minute walk up to Ruocco Park.  Parking here is expensive, even if validated from one of the shops in Seaport Village, which we recommend if you choose to go with this parking.  With validation we estimate parking to approximately $40 depending on your length of stay for the event.  The Seaport Village Parking is located at:

849 West Harbor Drive
San Diego, CA 92101

See Seaport Village Parking for more detailed and up to date information.

Additional Parking Options

If either of the options above are not satisfactory, then we recommend trying Parkopedia. Enter in where you are going (Ruocco Park or Seaport Village), and the date and time and Parkopedia will give parking options around the area with pricing.

Public Transportation

Amtrak and the North County Transit District Coaster both stop at the Santa Fe Station in downtown San Diego which is located 0.4 miles from Ruocco Park.

The MTS San Diego Trolley Green Line stops at Seaport Village which is 0.3 miles from Ruocco Park.

The MTS Bus has many stops in the vicinity of Ruocco Park as well.

It has been over an hour. Do you have any designated parking spaces for 2017 FUN DAY? Are they all taken already for this event or is it the program?

    Diane Harper.

      Hi Diane,

It looks like there is one left.

    Hi Kevin,
I though I replied to you earlier to get the one left but it hasn’t shown up yet on my order. Does this mean that there is no parking near the event.

PS I liked the Cassidy School location. Did they decline GDB using the site for SanDiego Funday ?

    Thank you

    Hi Kevin ,
The only way I could get the site to take my completed registration was to separate the parking from the other 2 orders: registration and fee for cc’d dog.
I made copies of both orders and am mailing them with the check to Kathleen.

    Thank you again, Diane
